The Wyoming Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program was established with the purpose of poverty alleviation in the state of Wyoming. The program provides nutritious food that meets the standard dietary requirements to the poor households.   • The candidate must have a US citizenship or a legal alien to receive the SNAP benefits
  • The candidate must have a Social Security Number (SSN)
  • The candidate must have a job ( an exception is made if the age of the candidate lies between the age of 21-59, is pregnant, physically not fit for work or disabled)
  • They must have a current bank balance under $2,001
  • They must have a current bank balance under $3,001 and share the household with either
    • A person aged 60 and above, or
    • A disabled person ( child, wife/husband,  a parent or your own self)

Other important elements are considered while evaluating the eligibility of the candidate for the Wyoming SNAP program include

  • Number of members in the household
  • Total gross income of the household

In case, the household size is greater than eight members, an additional amount of $7293 is considered per member.
