What You Need To Know

The Medicaid program in Alabama was established by the federal government and the state of Alabama in 1970. The objective of Medicaid is to provide free health care services to people from low-income housing belonging to the underprivileged background. The aim is to improve the health conditions of the poverty-stricken peoples of Alabama.

Are You Eligible?

It is mandatory for the applicant to be a US national with permanent and legal citizenship and most importantly a residence of the state of Alabama to apply for the Alabama Medicaid program. Your eligibility is automatically cancelled out if you lack any of the above-mentioned requirements. The applicant must also be either pregnant, blind, have a disability or a family member in your household with a disability, be responsible for children under 19 years of age, or be 65 years of age or older.
